President Uhuru Kenyatta, Friday, announced a raft of Covid-19 containment measures including extending the 10pm to 4 am daily curfew to May 12, ban on all political gatherings for 30 days as well as limiting the duration of funerals to 72 hours after confirmation of death

'We chose life over economy. As a result, we lost Sh560 billion. You can revive an economy. You can't revive a life once it is lost', said President Kenyatta in his live address to the Nation.

Those involved in double shifts especially within the construction industry are exempted from the 10 pm to 4 am order.

Campaigns for Machakos by-election on March 18, 2021 are still ongoing. It will be interesting to see which mode politicians will adopt inhe order.
